During the course of the school year, students in grades 3-8 play competitive volleyball, flag football, basketball, and track. New Hope’s youngest students have the opportunity to participate in on-campus Peewee Soccer. Throughout the year, coaches foster foundational knowledge of the game, as well as skills development in after school practices. Most importantly, players develop character traits like persistence, discipline, and teamwork and are encouraged to use all their gifts to God’s glory. New Hope also competes in special regional athletic events outside our local league. In addition to music classes as part of the curriculum, students participate in after-school piano lessons, choral singing in church services, and New Hope’s annual Christmas program. All students take visual art classes and can participate in the regional Art & Academics Fair. Academic in nature, these clubs give students the chance to dive more deeply into areas of learning, nurture life-long hobbies and interests, and connect socially with their classmates. Our students and teachers participate in fun dress-up days, goofy activities, and friendly competitions during this culture-building week. Field Trips: Experiential learning is an important part of our curriculum at New Hope. Students of all ages love exploring our local museums, parks, businesses, and cultural destinations.
